      Here is the recipe:

      1 3/4 c buttermilk
      1 large egg
      4 1/4 c flour
      4 tbsp sugar
      1 tsp baking soda
      2 tbsp caraway seeds
      1 tbsp freshly grated orange zest
      5 tablespoon salted butter (cold and cut into small pieces)
      2 c currants or raisin (or mix of both)

      Preheat oven to 400.
      Grease a cast iron skillet.
      Whisk the buttermilk and egg together. Set aside.
