Wendy Wagner
Visual Arts: Painting
My aim as an artist is to strive for honesty. I believe it is key for communication through portrait, figure, or still life; to capture what is sincere and felt.
I am inspired by interactions with people, and objects of personal meaning. Most of my portraits are alla prima, because I like the idea of preserving one moment with the model. Through still life, I can infuse meaning with seemingly random objects.
I received my B.F.A. in Painting from Moore College of Art and Design. To further my studies, I completed the Advanced Fine Art Program at Studio Incamminati in Philadelphia, where I am currently a fellow.
