    Augustine Hills School
Education;  Main Line Education Guide: Tutoring
Every child is unique and so is Augustine Hills School. We cater to children who want to learn but struggle to do that in a traditional classroom environment. Does your child need a four-day week for school? Do they need flexible hours or thrived with the hybrid method of education? Do they suffer from anxiety or depression? Does your child need a safe, no-bullying, drug-free place to learn? Does your child have the ability to work at a faster pace? Would greater 1-on-1 engagement help your student to learn? Augustine Hills is unique in its approach. We approach education in a whole new way, challenging your child to redefine the very definition of what “school” can be.  With an unprecedented teacher-to-student ratio of 1:1 for all courses, we offer the proven teaching and testing methods that will enable your child to truly learn.
  • Back to Basics Learning Dynamics
    Back to Basics Learning Dynamics
    Main Line Education Guide: Tutoring
Back to Basics Learning Dynamics is one of the largest educational services businesses in the tri-state area. We have a 360-degree view of education because we work with parents whose children need academic support and tutoring from Pre-K through college. We work with Public, Private, Vocational, and Charter Schools to help support their staff and students, offering psycho-educational testing, SLP’s, OTs, Tutors, Reading, Math, ELL support instructors, and homebound instruction. We work with State Departments like the Dept. of Education, Child and Family Services to provide Professional Development around diversity, inclusion, bystander intervention, sexual harassment training, and literacy programs. We offer translation of documents for IEP meetings and compliance as well as interpretation services for in-person meetings, virtual meetings, and telephonic meetings at schools, healthcare, and mental health facilities. Back to Basics Learning Dynamics has been in business for over 35 years helping to meet the needs of the community, parents, and schools in every aspect of the educational process. We have a stellar reputation. At Back to Basics all of our tutors are educators who have at least 2 to 3 years of tutoring experience in the subject they are working at with a student. All tutors have state and federal background checks, as well as child registry checks, are done. We keep our prices affordable to all students to have an opportunity to grow in their education and receive the help they need. Payment plans and scholarships are available at B2B. Tutoring should not just be for the elite but should be available for all students of all ages and backgrounds. We work with non-profit community organizations as much as we work with elite private schools and we are always proud of the work our organization provides. This past summer we tutored over 2500 students across the state of DE for over 40K hours of accelerated learning to get them ready for the 21-22 school year. This year we are working with school districts as far away as TX to provide after school, evening, and weekend tutoring to help
  • CollegeThoughts
    CollegeThoughts
Education;  Main Line Education Guide: Tutoring
CollegeThoughts is the partner that families need to increase access to top caliber colleges for their high-achieving students. We can help students with test preparation, through either online classes or one-on-one tutoring; college essay writing coaching; college visit planning; and even provide college boot camps over the summer where students get an in-depth look at six of the nation’s top colleges while learning more about the college process. We are not a non-profit organization, but consider ourselves a “Robin Hood” program that will charge those who are able to afford our assistance a fair price for services and then to work with those who are not able to pay, providing them with the same level of service and care. Two generations ago, our CEO’s grandfather swept the floor of the bookstore at William & Mary, posting the accomplishments of his children and grandchildren on the bulletin board inside of the store when they would send updates to him.  Today, he has the privilege of sending students there to study, standing on his giant shoulders and seeing the Promised Land that he dreamed of for his family.
  • Mathnasium of West Chester, PA
    Mathnasium of West Chester, PA
Education;  Main Line Education Guide: College Prep, STEM, Tutoring
When math makes sense, kids leap way ahead – whether they started out far behind or already ahead in math. Our formula for teaching kids math, the Mathnasium Method™ has transformed the way kids learn math for over a decade across 1,000+ centers in the US and Canada: We know how to teach your child math. Our specially trained math instructors will teach your child how to understand math in an individual setting – our unique approach enables us to effectively explain math concepts and lend a helping hand to every student. Our tutors foster a caring, encouraging environment that helps kids thrive and learn!   We pinpoint your child’s learning needs, meet them where they are, and take them where they need to go. Mathnasium instructors use our unique assessment process to determine (with great accuracy) exactly what each child knows and what they need to learn. Next, we design a customized learning plan for teaching the concepts the student needs to master. It doesn’t stop there – our encouraging instructors continually check progress along the way to make sure kids truly understand and retain the concepts we’ve taught. The results are transformative – kids will see measurable changes in attitude, confidence, and school progress.   We will help your child overcome homework frustration. Our instructors will also set aside time to provide homework help. We help kids understand the homework assignment so they feel better prepared to complete the work at home – underscoring their understanding of concepts and transforming homework frustration into a welcome challenge.
