Spotify 🎵 Your Year in Music
Early December is always a fun time for my family because that’s when Spotify Wrapped comes out. We love comparing and listening to each other’s top songs of the year. Seeing how many minutes my kids and husband spend immersed in music is mind-boggling. Spotify Wrapped also reveals where people with similar music tastes live worldwide. According to the feature, my husband and I should pack our bags and move to Bozeman, Montana. If you’re curious, I’ve created a playlist showcasing my top 100 songs of 2023.

Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious!
I have so many memories of watching Mary Poppins as a little girl. I adored it! This month, the Bryn Mawr Film Institute hosted a sing-along event for this beloved movie. If you missed it, you can always recreate the magic at home and sing your heart out to Mary Poppins. Sometimes, we all need a little reminder that we can create magic, too.

We gotta love GA alumnus Bradley Cooper
During an interview with the legendary Howard Stern, a thought-provoking question was posed to Bradley. Stern asked, “Imagine it’s 2024, and you have to make a tough choice: winning an Oscar for both Best Director and Best Actor, while Carrie wins Best Actress, or witnessing an Eagles Super Bowl victory. What would you choose?” Bradley declared his allegiance to the Eagles without hesitation, proving his unwavering support for his favorite team. But let’s ponder for a moment: can’t we have the best of both worlds?
Bradley Cooper, the renowned actor, takes on the role of Leonard Bernstein in the captivating musical biopic MAESTRO. This film delves into the extraordinary career of the iconic composer and conductor and his complex marriage to Felicia Montealegre, portrayed by the talented Carey Mulligan. Released December 20 on Netflix.
Jon Batiste.
I had the pleasure of seeing Jon and his band perform at the Kimmel Center years ago, and I instantly became a fan. Recently, he has embarked on a deeply personal journey, documented in an intimate film. As his wife, the talented writer Suleika Jaouad, undergoes cancer treatment, Jon takes on the challenge of composing a symphony. This heartfelt documentary showcases the power of love and creativity in the face of adversity. I highly recommend checking out his documentary on Netflix. You won’t be disappointed!
I wish you all a Happy, Healthy, and Joy-filled holiday season and Happy 2024! We’re taking some time off to relax and enjoy the season. We’ll be back in January.
Peace,
Regina
