This year’s Longwood Gardens Community Read for children is The Reason for a Flower by Ruth Heller.
They’ll read the story and then children will learn about the parts of a flower and the life cycle of a plant through this hands-on and inquiry-based program. Dissect a flower, perform a pollination skit, and learn about seed dispersal. Presented by Tyler Arboretum. For children in grades K-3. No younger siblings, please.
