FLY LIKE AN EAGLE Charity Event

On Saturday, May 1st, The Veteran’s Group, a Philadelphia-based non-profit focused on helping Veterans who are homeless or at risk of homelessness, will sponsor the “Fly Like An Eagle” charity night at Elmwood Park Zoo, located at 1661 Harding Boulevard in Norristown, PA., from 4:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. hosted by Eagles legend Vince Papale. General admission to the event is only $25, and children under 12 are free with a paying adult. Tickets can be purchased by logging onto www.theveteransgroup.org/invincible.

“Veterans are a particularly vulnerable segment of our population,” said Veteran’s Group representative Steve Phillabaum. “Eagles legend Vince Papale will be at this after-zoo-hours event to help raise the $35,000 we need to provide much-needed structural repairs to our two properties in Philadelphia so we can continue to provide housing, support and services for up to 40 at-risk and homeless veterans.”

Those purchasing $25 general admission tickets can enter and explore Elmwood Park Zoo beginning at 4:30 p.m., have the chance to say hello to Vince Papale, meet the live Philadelphia Eagles Bald Eagle mascot and more. And for only $200 patrons can upgrade their visit to the “Eagles Dinner Experience” which includes event admission, a buffet-style meal with carving table, open bar, desserts and Q&A hosted by Vince Papale in the Canopy Gardens Room at Elmwood Park Zoo. Mr. Papale will also sign autographs at this limited seating event! (seating is limited to 100 for the Eagles Dinner Experience).
