DVFriends alumna and award-winning educator and researcher Toby Tomlinson Baker, Ph.D. presents Actionable Steps Toward Graduating for College Students with Learning Differences on March 10th at 7:00 pm on campus or live stream.
Dr. Baker, an adult with a learning disability and ADHD, aims to inform and provide parents and students with effective, actionable steps toward graduation from college. Dr. Baker shares research that illustrates why some postsecondary students with learning disabilities/differences struggle in college settings and offers solutions for academic success. She shares perspectives of college faculty, and, most importantly, Dr. Baker shares her experiences as a postsecondary student with a learning difference, her challenges during college as an undergrad and graduate student, and her stories of perseverance, overcoming adversity, and emerging as a respected scholar. The event is free and open to the public. Registration is required.
