Our program allows children ages 4 and up with family members to enjoy a lively demonstration of classical music and the unique instruments that make the full symphony sound. Children are encouraged to then chat with the musicians.
The Delaware County Symphony in collaboration with the Marple Public Library invite all families to a free Instrument Petting Zoo for children. Nine classically trained musicians will explain and demonstrate to the children how their specific instruments: Flute, Violin, Viola, Bassoon, Cello, Oboe, French Horn, Bass, and Clarinet, individually sound and are uniquely used in classical music to make a full symphonic sound.
