Haverford Home & Garden Show

We are excited to announce the 2^nd annual Haverford Home & Garden Show which will be held on May 18-19^th, 2019 at the award-winning new Community Recreation & Environmental Center at Haverford Reserve, 9000 Parkview Drive, Haverford, PA 19041.

“This is a regional home and garden show with a home-town feel,” explains show director Jeanne Angell.  “It’s a great way to connect local businesses with residents who are looking for architects, contractors, interior designers, landscape services, or want to browse the exhibits to get ideas for future projects.” 

The show will include up to 75 vendors representing a variety of businesses such as general contractors, architects, interior designers, arborists, plumbers, electricians, roofers, painters, lawn care providers, realtors, financial services such as banks, energy suppliers and businesses that sell home improvement, gardening or landscaping products.

There will be a marketplace where vendors will sell home and garden items such as garden tools, bird houses and bird feeders, fine art, plants, pillows and table linens, and gift items.  We will also have several food trucks and vendors at the event on Sunday.

HGTV and DIY Network star Jeff Devlin will be our keynote speaker.  Jeff is currently the host of Stone House Revival on the DIY Network.  He’ll speak at 1:00pm on Sunday about Everything you need to know about Remodeling your Kitchen or Bath, “The Inside Scoop.”  From 2:00-3:00pm, he’ll host a Meet & Greet event.  Throughout the day, a variety of other presentations will be scheduled.

“New this year is a “Green Track” to the show, for residents who are interested in living in a more sustainable way” Angell points out.  “We have speakers on solar for your home, “How to save $1,000 on your energy bill,” and smart home technology.  There will be one-on-one green living consultations, vendors for alternative energy, electric bikes and EV chargers, a native tree and plant sale, and information about stormwater management, rain gardens, tree planting, and the spotted lanternfly.”

Make & Take projects will be offered for visitors who want a hands-on experience.  Mostardi Nursery is sponsoring a Create your own Terrarium or Succulent Garden make & take project.  There will also be a children’s craft booth.

We will host our popular “Furniture Flip Contest” again this year, sponsored by DMI Home Supply & Rental Center.  There will also be an extensive raffle of door prizes.

The hours on Sunday will be 10:00am – 4:00pm.

We will be hosting a ticketed Preview Night Party on Saturday from 5:00-9:00pm, where all indoor vendors will be set up, and we will have food and drink samples, live music, raffles, etc.

Limited parking is available on-site.  We will run free shuttle buses all day on Sunday from Haverford Middle School, where parking is readily available.

The Haverford Home & Garden Show is hosted and organized by Haverford Partnership for Economic Development (HPED).  well as to raise funds for the work of HPED.  The goals of HPED are to support local businesses, promote economic development, and revitalize our business districts and public spaces.  HPED is a 501c3 non-profit organization.
