Tucked down a long lane, Summerhill Preserve is a quiet enclave of green.
Its 41 acres are about half wooded and half meadow, the yin and yang of nature. Preserve Manager Mike Coll has been working to diversify the native plant species in the meadows to improve the habitat for birds, butterflies, and bugs. In particular, the meadows are ideal hunting grounds for raptors like American Kestrels. Join Mike for a tour of this special preserve—not generally open to the public—and learn about his work to make the property a haven for critters.
