  • A Taste of Britain
    A Taste of Britain
    Restaurant/Cafe
A Taste of Britain has been delighting customers on the Main Line for almost 30 years. What began as a small tea room is now a bustling cafe, British market, and caterer. Our specialty is our Full Afternoon Tea, but we also have a full menu that will tempt the littlest mouth to the heartiest appetite.  Choose from soups, salads, frittata, sandwiches, and traditional British favourites including sausage rolls, pasties, and steak and ale pie. Reservations are strongly recommended. Our British market has a fab selection of imported groceries and house-made entrees. We also carry lovely tea gifts and accessories, plus over 50 different loose leaf teas. Finally, we know how to throw a tea party! We can prepare the food for you to pick up – from tea sandwiches to traditional English scones to petit fours. Or, our expert and gracious staff can bring the tea part to you with our Full Service Catering. Our charming dining room is also available for private dinner parties every evening, from about 20 to 40 guests. We can’t wait to see you, neighbor!

  • African American Museum in Philadelphia
    African American Museum in Philadelphia
The African American Museum in Philadelphia currently houses 4 galleries and an auditorium, each of which offers exhibitions anchored by one of the Museum’s three dominant themes – the African Diaspora, the Philadelphia Story, and the Contemporary Narrative. The auditorium is also used for the Museum’s distance learning program, for film viewings and other community events, and is available for community use. Through the joint efforts of the Curatorial and Education Departments, the Museum offers creative, innovative youth programming that expands the themes of our cultural exhibits and invites people whose lives span the century – youth, their families, and senior citizens – to come together and enjoy rich intergenerational Family Days focused on African American art and culture. This space is available for rent. Visit http //www.phillyspacefinder.com/spaces/2456?from_search=1 for more info.

    Ardmore Music Hall
The Ardmore Music Hall is a music venue and bar, that will open in September 2013 and will establish itself as a premiere landing spot for many renowned, local and national touring musical acts. The room itself holds as much history as any local venue in the Philadelphia or surrounding suburbs; from 1980 to 1994, the legendary 23 East Cabaret sat within the same walls, and hosted an infamous array of artists from The Dave Mathews Band, to Blues Traveler, Hootie & The Blowfish, The Red Hot Chili Peppers, Phish, The Hooters, Joan Osborne and so many more. From 1996 to 2009, although the room became primarily a cover band venue, Brownies 23 East hosted national attractions such as Cheap Trick, Los Lobos, The Cherry Poppin Daddys, Merle Saunders, Vince Welnick, Melvin Seals, Steve Kimock, New Riders of The Purple Sage and more. We are proud to take on the challenge of bringing the former glory of the venue back to life. Features include a state-of-the-art sound system, a wide dance space perfect for an excited dance party, 12 craft beers on draught, a low & intimate stage, flat screen TVs for show projections. Parking is always free with a parking lot at our back door, across the street, and adjacent to. We are easily accessible by public transportation with the R-5 regional line at our back door. http //www.septa.org/schedules/rail/w/PAO_1.html
