The Upper Darby Arts & Education Foundation (UDAEF) is dedicated to uplifting and uniting youth in Upper Darby and across our region. While studies are showing increased depression, anxiety and isolation in our youth, our local mentor-based programs encourage connection, introduce many forms of creative expression, and foster confidence based on real participation and achievement. 

We deliver on our mission through a broad range of performance, dance and music programs, including the region’s premiere youth theatre program, Upper Darby Summer Stage, as well as our celebrated outreach arm, Upper Darby Summer Stage Shooting Stars, and our groundbreaking music program with deep ties in the community, Schoener MusicMan Academy.

The talented members of Shooting Stars alone represent 18 different high schools, and participants of UDAEF summer programs hail from over 50 different towns in and around Delaware County. Moreover, the Foundation enjoyed sponsorships from 45 different community partners from all corners of the county and beyond for last year’s well-attended performances and fundraising events.
