Volunteers can make a difference in someone’s life for 12 hours per month! The Adult Tutoring Program of the Chester County Opportunities Industrialization Center (OIC) currently has a waiting list of people throughout Chester County who are in need of volunteer tutors. Tutors work one on one to help their students improve their English language skills, study for the GED exam, work towards their US citizenship, or improve their reading, writing, spelling or math. No experience is necessary – we offer online training through the PA Department of Education and have extensive resource materials. Tutors meet at a public location (usually one of the local libraries) for three hours per week.
