Delaware County Symphony Presents: Myths and Legends Symphony Concert

Presented by Delaware County Symphony at Neumann University- Meagher Theater

The concert opens with two works by the great French composers Claude Debussy and Maurice Ravel. The orchestra will first perform Debussy’s Prelude to the Afternoon of a Faun and will then be joined by mezzo-soprano Kathryn Leemhuis in Ravel’s Scheherazade. Following the intermission, the DCS will perform the second suite from Aram Khachaturian’s ballet Spartacus and the ever-popular symphonic poem The Sorcerer’s Apprentice by Paul Dukas.

Meet the Music– a FREE pre-concert lecture. Guest speakers from Neumann University and the Delaware County Symphony will present a short talk before the concert so you can more fully appreciate the performance by DCS musicians and guest soloists. Meet the Music takes place in the McNichol Art Gallery of the Life Center at Neumann University from 2:00 to 2:30 PM before the concert.
