25th Annual FirstGlance Film Festival

Presented by FirstGlance Films at The Colonial Theatre

50 independent films from professional, emerging, and student filmmakers will  compete for awards in over 20  categories.  Movies screening are from Canada, the Czech Republic, the Russian Federation, Finland, the Netherlands, Japan, France, and China, as well as, from across the United States and the Tri-State Area. Attendees will get a first glance of these films as most are world, USA, or Philadelphia premieres.

Program highlights include a “Shot in Philly” screening plus themed blocks including horror,
female produced and directed, date night, and a sing and dance block, to name a few. And to celebrate that haunting holiday Halloween and the October 14th Horror Screening, festival-goers wearing costumes and cosplay on opening night can take advantage of buy one, get one (BOGO) free tickets.

The weekend event features filmmaker interviews on the red carpet with Nic LaRue of Film
Snobbery, 5 Question Filmmaker Interviews with LeAnne Lindsay of Tinsel & Tine, a “Dinner and a Movie” partnership with Molly Maguire’s Irish Restaurant and Pub, a “Movies & Mimosas” partnership with the Great American Pub, after-parties at Rec Room by Conshohocken Brewing Co., Root Down Brewing, and PJ Ryan’s Pub, discounts at local businesses including Nerd Merch Co., and a live awards ceremony on closing night presented virtually by award-winning director/filmmaker and FirstGlance alum Raphael Sbarge from the TV series “Once Upon a Time.”
