Learning and Leadership Workshop 

August 9th to 11th

4:30pm to 7:00pm

For students entering grades 6th through 8th

We will explore how we learn and how people lead by: 

Setting goals
Using our critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Writing
Public speaking
Working as a team
Working individually
Hearing from leaders in the fields of Education, Athletics and Business
Debating
Self-reflection

During this Learning and Leadership Workshop, we will focus on the following areas:

How do I learn best?
What is Leadership?
What does leadership mean to me?
Leading with Empathy
Teamwork and collaboration
Organizational skills
Communication
Responsibility
Service and Community

The 3-day workshop will be led by Will Nord, Executive Director of the Willows Park Preserve.
Will spent 17 years working in schools as a teacher, school administrator and Board member. He has also coached soccer at the youth, high school and collegiate levels for 16 years. He has a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Mount Saint Mary’s College and a Master’s in School Leadership from the University of Pennsylvania. He is currently on the Board of Trustees at Gladwyne Montessori and is a mentor for aspiring school leaders at the University of Pennsylvania.
