AM Radio Tribute Show

Presented by Uptown! Knauer Performing Arts Center at Uptown! Knauer Performing Arts Center

Have you ever perked up when the radio plays a song that first hit on popular radio stations when you were young? AM Radio Tribute Band plays all those songs, even the ones you’ve forgotten.

AM Radio Tribute Band has shared stages with Peter Noone & Hermans Hermits, Gary Puckett and the Union Gap, Felix Cavaliere, The 5th Dimension, The Turtles, The Association, Classics IV, The Vogues, The Cowsills, Nate Watts(Stevie Wonder Band), Don Dannemenn(The Cyrkle.

AMRTB is based in the King of Prussia, PA area and came to life in December 2014, drawing from the members’ shared love for all things melodic, nostalgic, musically rewarding, and just plain fun. Specializing in 60’s and 70’s AM broadcast radio hits, the repertoire spans the musical generations from a time when radio was king, sending you on a musical sojourn with one great song after another.

Selections include remarkable renditions of White Rabbit-Jefferson Airplane, Mama Told Me Not To Come-Three Dog Night, Different Drum-The Stone Poneys (feat Linda Ronstadt), Bus Stop-The Hollies, To Sir With Love-LuLu, Brand New Key-Melanie, Age of Aquarius/Let The Sun Shine In- The 5th Dimension, Close To You-The Carpenters, Spirit In The Sky-Norman Greenbaum, California Dreamin’-The Mamas & The Papas, and many more!

Come and experience the ultimate tribute band! AMRTB mimics the music and vocals with an uncanny likeness to the original recording’s as you’ll ever hear – LIVE!

Be prepared for a ride in the way back machine, as AMRTB emulates the sounds, voices, appearances, slogans, images, and styles in authentic detail with outfits ranging from mod dress to multi-colored flower power, psychedelic tie-dye shirts, go-go boots, long hair, and an amazing energy that urges you to travel back to one of the most creative decades of our time. Feel yourself begin to turn on, tune in and experience what it was like to be a part of a generation that exploded like a pressure cooker full of color, creativity, and love.

AMRTB gives us a glimpse into the years when our brains leaped with joy at the music that’s come to define us. Those years may have passed, but each time we hear the songs we loved, the joy they once brought us surges anew. Come and celebrate one long Summer of Love with AM Radio Tribute Band!
