2022 Summit Empowered Girls, Empower Girls!
Free to attend for girls ages 13-18 May 7, 11-5 pm at West Chester University

Each girl will receive lunch (including Insomnia Cookies!) and chance to win some awesome door prizes and have a cool shopping opportunity with some fun teen vendors, plus leave with a Girls Spark T-shirt, water bottle, and a gift bag filled with lots of goodies and MORE courtesy of our generous sponsors.
Author, Coach/Consultant & Keynote Speaker, Jen Croneberger will open the summit with inspiring life lessons centered around. 5 C’s – Character, Communication, Choice, Courage and Confidence. From there, girls will attend the (4) 40- minute workshops they chose when signing up from the following empowering, inspiring workshops.
Street Smarts/ Self Defense – Get the MOVES you need with Jolene Westraad, 4th degree black belt in Tang Soo Do and instructor at East Coast Karate Institute.
You are Enough – Build your self-worth & confidence, by Lisa Bryant, speaker, mentor, author, pastor, trainer, local TV show host.
Stress & the Brain – Learn holistic ways to help mitigate these effects on your body and brain and mental health. Dr. Hayley Nelson, Neuroscientist and Psychology Professor.
Microaggression & Unconscious Bias – Learn how to respond to microaggression and explore ways navigate unconscious bias from Dr. Domonique Revere M.Ed. PHR, SHRM CP and Founder of HRemedy Consulting.
G.I.R.L Power –Be gritty, build influence and transform and achieve your goals with Coach Adrean Turner, MBA MAM, PCC. Speaker and Author.
Safe Relationships – Understand what makes relationships healthy and recognize the red flags of an un-healthy one by Sarah Kelly from the Domestic Abuse Project, Media PA.
Combating Anxiety – Learn the “Name it to Tame it” process and identify patterns, environments, situations or choices that increase your anxiety and practical tips help overcome or lessen it. Led by Cara Dixon, MA. LPC, CCN.
Whole Body Yoga – Hands on yoga meditation session as a time for you to relax and tune into your body, with Melinda Janofsky, Health Coach and Founder of Whole-Body Wellness.
Times Up –Tune in with this practical session about the #metoo movement and how to defend yourself against sexual advances, led by Susan Fiorentino, JDMA and College Professor.
Ask the OBGYN – Dispel myths you may have heard about, your body, and sexual self, with Dr. Kim Einhorn from Axia Women’s Health.
Trauma Release & Healing – Relieve stress and tension inside your mind and body with this hands one workshop by Juliette Gamble, Nationally Board-Certified Counselor, Advanced level II certified TRE provider in teacher, presenter, and speaker.
Arnetta Williams from the W.E.I.R.D. Girl Mentoring program in Philadelphia will close the program with her Wonderful, Empowered, Intelligent, Resilient, Determined insights to lift your spirits and send you home empowered.

This event is FREE to attend for all girls ages 13-18 at West Chester University. Parents/ Guardians etc. may drop off at the School of Business and Public Management at 50 West Sharpless Street West Chester PA 19383. This event is for teen girls only.
Doors open at 10:30 AM – Event begins at 11 AM
Parking is available at the lot across the street for free at 25 West Sharpless Street.
On street parking is free until 5 pm the day of the event!
Must sign up at www.girlsspark.com in advance to attend to choose your 4 workshops.
No walk ins permintted.
