Ribbon Cutting Celebration and Ceremonial Tree Lighting at the new Veterans Memorial Rink

Presented by Delaware County Veterans Memorial at Veterans Memorial Ice Rink

Join the Delaware County Veteran’s Memorial Association as we officially celebrate the grand opening of the new Veterans Memorial Rink with a night filled of family fun, music, skating, and a visit from Santa!

The festivities will begin with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 5:00 pm on Thursday, December 16 at the site of the new Ice Rink which is located a half-mile down the road from the Memorial, next to the Bonefish Grill. The program will feature former NHL player and current Chicago Blackhawks Color Announcer, Colby Cohen as well as other key Delaware County guest speakers including DCVMA’s Board President Joseph Daly.

Stop by to watch the ceremonial tree lighting followed by the ribbon cutting and to see Santa and his helpers help clean the ice! Music, games, and a headphone party will follow.

Skating will be open to the public immediately after the ribbon-cutting ceremony is complete. Tickets for skating can be purchased at the door.

Proceeds from the Veterans Memorial Rink will benefit the DCVMA and our mission to educate, encourage, motivate and inspire current and future generations to learn about the sacrifices made to keep our nation free.

Please come out, bring the family and enjoy Delaware County’s newest outdoor entertainment destination!
