The Delaware County Symphony will be presenting a special concert celebrating the symphony’s 50th anniversary on Sunday, December 5 at 3 p.m.
The Delaware County Symphony will be performing a diverse repertoire of music, with each piece representing a different decade of the orchestra’s existence. Former DCS conductor and music director Roman Pawlowski will serve as master of ceremonies for the event.
Works to be performed during the concert include Brahms’s Academic Festival Overture, Strauss’s Blue Danube Waltz, Britten’s Young Person’s Guide to the Orchestra, and many more pieces. Michael Bolton of WRTI and Opera Philadelphia will be providing guest narration during the Britten.
The concert will be performed in the Meagher Theater at Neumann University. Tickets can be purchased before the event as well as at delaware-county-symphony.ticketleap.com
Delaware County Symphony wants to keep both orchestra and audience members as safe and healthy as possible, which is why DCS is asking all concert attendees to wear a face mask when inside the theatre. All visitors to Neumann University campus are also required to complete a Health Check before arriving, which can be found at neumann.edu.
Tickets are $20. Seniors and students are $17. Children under 12 are free with a paying adult.
