We created Backyard Burners out of a love for the Burning Man Festival, its values and traditions – play, creativity, self-expression, inclusion, communal effort, civic responsibility, gifting, and participation. We are back for a second year of play, art, community connection and fun! Like last year, we will have community art installations to visit and participate in, daily art inspiration, fun daily challenges, and hopefully, inspiration for you all to create something of your own and share, whether on social media or by adding your creation to our Town Tour. Backyard Burners will begin on Sunday, August 29th and end on Saturday, September 4th. We will have many socially distant opportunities for fun and self-expression, as well as some outdoor more communal events. We are hoping for lots of participation! This event is for all ages, all or NO artistic ability. Feel free to ask questions or make suggestions.
