Earth Day at Tyler

Earth Day at Tyler

at Tyler Arboretum

At Tyler, we believe small steps to be more involved with nature can lead to big rewards, for both young children and adults. We have lined up three family friendly activities to celebrate Earth Day. Choose one or more of the socially distanced outdoor opportunities listed below and join us at the timeslot(s) that fit your schedule. There are two sessions to choose from: Session 1 at 10:00 am and Session 2 at 11:30 am.

**Celebrate Earth Day by Planting Vegetables and Edible Flowers – Join us at Lucille’s Garden for this fun and interactive on-site class for planting spring vegetables and edible flowers. Potatoes, onions, spinach, marigold, nasturtiums — oh my!

**Celebrate Earth Day by Making Your Own Native Bee House – You’ll learn about the life cycle and importance of our native bees, their non-aggressive nature, and receive step by step instructions to build your own bee house. Join us for this family activity and take home your own Bee House for your home garden.

**Celebrate Earth Day with Story Time and a Scavenger Hunt – Are you looking for ways to increase your child’s awareness of the natural world? Miss Louisa will be sharing stories about birds and trees, followed by a Scavenger Hunt.
