In this 2-day workshop, Roger Chavez will build skills and knowledge in painting the landscape and to give experience of what it means to paint in the outdoors, “en plein air”.
Students will study landscape paintings from masters like Camille Corot, John Constable and Eugene Isabey. This will help students to extract ways to prepare surfaces for painting landscapes outdoors, as well as to study mark making which flesh out foliage, trees, mountains, atmosphere, clouds etc.
