Leaders and Legends of North Philadelphia Black History Month exhibition celebrates inspirational African American leaders who have made momentous, positive change in the fields of activism, arts, business, public service and sports.
Bring the family out to Smith Playground to see displays of each honoree which include biographical information, highlighted facts for caregiver to “Quiz the Kids”, and suggested Philadelphia landmarks, activities, and reading dedicated to or inspired by each honoree that families can explore after they leave Smith.
There will be an opening day Celebration of the exhibition on Saturday, February 6 from 12pm-3pm* and the Playground will be open for play!
*Rain date for the opening ceremony will be, Sunday, February 7.
