The Devon Horse Show and Country Fair has supported Bryn Mawr Hospital for more than a century. Though COVID-19 forced the event’s organizers to cancel the country’s oldest and largest multi-breed horse show this year (for the first time since World War II), they were determined to continue their tradition of support of the hospital through a food donation drive.

On Monday, May 18, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., the public is invited to drop off commercially prepared, individually packaged single-serve items, including cookies, chips, snack crackers, juice boxes and other non-refrigerated drinks to the Devon Horse Show Parking Lot at 23 Dorset Road, in Devon, Pa.

These items will help fuel and fortify healthcare workers at the hospital as they continue their mission of serving the community’s needs during these difficult times.

The Devon Horse Show and Country Fair is also seeking monetary donations for a series of “Bryn Mawr Hospital Breakfast Days,” which will provide healthy breakfasts to hospital workers. The community is encouraged to drop off checks during the May 18 donation drive made payable to “The Devon Country Fair” in any amount and including “BMH Breakfast” in the memo. The community may also support this effort through online donations on GoFundMe. The Devon Horse Show’s Facebook Page, www.facebook.com/Devon1896/, will be home to the “2020 Virtual Devon Horse Show and Country Fair,” between May 21 and May 31. Visitors will be invited to make donations for Bryn Mawr Hospital Breakfast Days on the GoFundMe page open throughout “Virtual Devon.”
