St. David's Church Goes Virtual

St. David's Church Goes Virtual

Presented by St. David's Episcopal Church at St. David's Episcopal Church

St. David’s Episcopal Church announces its new program “Christian Living at Home”, an online invitation to the community to access worship, education and fellowship during this time of COVID-19 isolation.  The program utilizes the church’s website and social media outlets to enable the public to participate in Christian learning and activities via live streaming, on-line meeting platforms and access to pre-recorded activities.

Live streaming of the 9:15am Sunday worship service began on March 15th and will continue for the foreseeable future. Evening Prayer will live stream on Wednesdays at 6:30pm.  Both services are accessible through the St. David’s website (www.stdavidschurch.org) and Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/saintdavidsradnor).

Men’s and Women’s Bible Studies, MATCH (Mothers and Their Children) and Middle and High School Youth Groups are among the “Christian Living at Home” small groups currently holding sessions virtually via dial-in or meeting software, with an expanded offering to come.  Pre-recorded Christian programs and activities for the entire family will be added including a children’s story time, Yoga with Spirit, Exercise in Faith Fitness, My Karate Place (for kids) and more.  A Kids and Families resource page includes a podcast for kids link as well as a curated faith-based reading list for parents and their children.  Meditations and encouragement are also provided several times weekly in video postcards from the St. David’s Clergy.

“This time of social distancing has brought people together, while keeping others apart,” observes Rev. Frank Allen, Rector at St. David’s. “Enabling people to continue belonging to a community during this difficult time is so important in easing fears and loneliness, and reinforcing that God is always with us.”

“Christian Living at Home” content is available at no cost to the general public.  Detailed information and links for all live streaming, online meetings and programs can be found at www.stdavidschurch.org/christian-living-at-home.  If you are feeling lonely or afraid during these unsettled times, please call the Pastoral Emergency contact number at 610-688-7947 ext. #3.
