Orchestra Concordia Free Community Concert Featuring Philadelphia Orchestra Soloist

Orchestra Concordia will present the first concert  of its 2019-2020 season on October 18, 2019 at 8:00 PM, at the Radnor Middle School, 150 Louella Avenue, Wayne, PA. The performance is free, open to the public, and wheelchair accessible.

Under the direction of conductor Gary White, the program will feature Philadelphia Orchestra oboe soloist Jonathan Blumenfeld in Concerto for Oboe and Orchestra, in C Major, by Mozart, K. 314. The concert will also include Toccata, by Frescobaldi, Rumanian Folk Danses for Small Orchestra by Bartok, and the Symphony No. 41 (Jupiter), K. 551, by Mozart.

By offering admission free performances at a convenient location, Orchestra Concordia makes superb concert experiences accessible to all. Orchestra Concordia is a volunteer orchestra comprised of outstanding professional and amateur musicians from the Philadelphia area who collaborate to produce orchestral music of the highest quality.

David Kim, Philadelphia Orchestra Concertmaster, and Nancy Campbell, Executive Director of the Wayne Art Center are members of Orchestra Concordia’s Artistic Advisory Board.
