In this GiveBack Workshop we will partner with the Pennsylvania SPCA to learn what they do to protect and care for animals, and to create cat toys for them to take back to their shelter.
| GiveBack Workshops at NLM are a unique way of volunteering and the perfect spark to activate your family’s sense of empathy, respect, and responsibility, the character traits that make someone a true hero of liberty. A different GiveBack Workshop is held once each month on a Saturday morning. You and your children will work together to complete a “make-and-donate” activity specifically designed by the partner organization for that month.
Here is this month’s workshop: The SPCA (Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals) provides a Humane Education Program, which offers interactive educational experiences for groups interested in learning about animal welfare, responsibility, and respect. For this workshop, a representative from the SPCA will speak to families about animal cruelty and the work they do to protect and care for animals. Families will have the opportunity to participate by creating cat toys which the representative will take back to the shelter. Giveback Workshops 2019 Schedule: |
