Gold Tooling Workshop in Historic Sugartown’s Book Bindery

Gold Tooling Workshop in Historic Sugartown’s Book Bindery

Presented by Historic Sugartown at Historic Sugartown's Book Bindery

(Malvern, PA) Historic Sugartown is excited to introduce new GoldTooling / Gilding workshops into our series of Book Binderyworkshops. Based on positive feedback, Colonial Williamsburg-trained instructor, Ramon Townsend of ColonialBindery.com, has developed this new class to allow participants to focus on the specialized technique of gold tooling. Using gold leaf, gold foil and Historic Sugartown’s collection of bookbinding finishing tools, participants will learn traditional methods of designing and decorating leather in gold, the same way fine books were gold-tooled hundreds of years ago. This is an introductory class and all skill levels are welcome to join.

Workshop Admission: $60/Person, all supplies included. Ages 14 & Up. (Ages 14 – 17 must be accompanied by an adult). Pre-registration is required. Space is limited to 6 participants. Visit HistoricSugartown.org or call 610-640-2667 to register!
