The Mad Hatter Boutique of Broomall supports the Haverford Hawks Finland Cultural Exchange with a fun “Sip & Shop” event on Wednesday, November 14 from 6-9 pm. 15% of sales will benefit the Finland Exchange.

The Haverford Hawks is a USA Hockey Tier II youth ice hockey club established in 1974. The Skatium in Havertown, PA is its home rink. The Hawks field a mix of travel teams from Mites (8 & Under) through Midget Major (18 & Under) at the AA, A, & B levels. The Hawks is one of a few youth ice hockey clubs in the country with a trans-Atlantic cultural exchange.

The Haverford Hawks host the Viikingit Hockey Club and travel to the Helsinki in alternating years.  With hockey as a platform, these clubs have sustained a 20-year relationship that have built bridges, created cultural understanding, and engendered a healthy curiosity about the world among their youth players.  The benefits are measured over lifetime.  #hawksinhelsinki
