Engage in holiday shopping that helps others by attending our 6th annual gift Alternative Gift Market featuring fair trade goods and locally-made crafts.
Looking for alternatives to mall-shopping this holiday season? Wondering what to give Uncle Bob instead of one more necktie? Want your holiday gifts to make a difference in the world? Then come to the 6th annual Alternative Gift Market, where you can find unique hand-made and fair-trade gifts for everyone on your list and where your purchases will help people in need — both locally and around the world!
The market will be held on Saturday November 10 from 9am—3pm, and on Sunday November 11 from 9am—3pm at Saint Luke Lutheran Church, located at 203 North Valley Forge Road in Devon. Whether honoring loved ones with fair-trade coffee and chocolate from Equal Exchange, or exquisite handmade jewelry from Africa and fabrics from Guatemala, or fair-trade olive oil from Palestine, you can feel good knowing your gifts are “giving twice” by supporting fair trade and sustainability around the world. Proceeds from the Alternative Gift Market will also benefit T&E Care, a local network of families helping families in Tredyffrin and Easttown townships (www.tecare.org).
