Join us for a screening of the film Angst. This 45 minute documentary explores our culture’s widespread issues with anxiety through candid interviews with children and young adults who suffer from anxiety, discussions with mental health experts and celebrities, and explorations of the causes and wider sociological effects. Providing resources and hope, Angst offers insight and raises awareness for both teens and parents.
The film screening will be followed by a discussion with Dr. Tamar Chansky,licensed psychologist and Founder and Director of the Children’s and Adult Center for OCD and Anxiety. Dr. Chansky will focus on providing concrete tips and tools to navigate the challenges one faces when dealing with anxiety. JFCS will also host a resource fair at the end of the event with local organizations on site to talk with attendees about how they help families and individuals address concerns about anxiety.
