Relax and enjoy Museum admission, guided tour, and pre-fixe lunch at City Tavern Restaurant via luxury line bus transportation to and from Valley Forge National Historical Park.
Hop aboard a luxury bus and enjoy the door-to-door convenience of visiting the Museum of the American Revolution, Philadelphia’s newest museum dedicated to telling the story of the American Revolution and its continued relevance today. While en route, learn why General Washington selected Valley Forge for the winter encampment and its strategic importance to winning America’s freedom. Arrive at the Museum of the American Revolution and enjoy a guided tour with a Museum expert who will provide additional insights about the vast collection of artifacts, special exhibits, and the stories behind the objects on display.
Then enjoy a tasteful pre-fixe menu luncheon at the historic City Tavern Restaurant at noon. During lunch, Park Superintendent, Steve Sims, will provide updates on Park happenings including the closing of the Visitor Center for much-needed renovations. Hear first-hand what, when and why renovations will happen and what it means to you and Park visitors. You’ll also meet the Tavern’s culinary historian and chef, Walter Staib, host of PBS Emmy award-winning show A Taste of History where Chef Staib shares 18th century cuisine to audiences around the world.
