27th Annual Doylestown Arts Festival

27th Annual Doylestown Arts Festival

Presented by Michener Art Museum at Michener Art Museum

Free to attend, rain or shine, the Doylestown Arts Festival is one of the largest and most celebrated arts festivals in the region. The festival will be held on Doylestown’s quaint, historical downtown streets–converted to lively pedestrian-only avenues during the event–from 10 a.m to 5 p.m. on Saturday, September 8 and Sunday, September 9. This year, for the first time, the Festival will be preceded by Art Week, a new event that is intended to celebrate Doylestown as a year-round center for arts and culture. Planned for September 2 through 7, Art Week will showcase both permanent and temporary installations in local museums, galleries, storefronts, restaurants, and other venues.
Founded in 1991, the Doylestown Arts Festival is now in its 27th year. Designed to illuminate the town’s ongoing commitment to arts, crafts, culture, and tourism, the 2018 festival will feature 160 juried artists, live music on five stages, local food vendors, art-making and interactive demonstrations. On Sunday, The Thompson Bucks County Classic will roll into town with six bike races involving professionals, amateurs, children, and historical high wheel bicycles.

The Doylestown Arts Festival is made possible by a small volunteer committee of Discover Doylestown and is presented by the Thompson Organization. Major sponsors of the Doylestown Arts Festival include Steaz, Berkshire Hathaway, and Penn Community Bank.
