Tour the intimate enclave of Tudor-style homes in Wynnewood’s English Village.
Exhibiting all of the ancient textures of a medieval hamlet, the village evidences early-twentieth-century Americans’ desires to root themselves in a storied and well-chronicled past. Developed around a town green (which is now occupied by two mid-twentieth-century homes), the neighborhood invites residents and weekend sightseers alike to wander its quiet lanes just as they might stroll the hedge-bounded roads of a tranquil Shropshire village. Beginning with a short introduction by Conservancy Historic Preservation Director Kathleen Abplanalp, this self-guided tour features three open houses and concludes with a garden reception.
Pre-Registration is required. Fee price for members is $20 and $35 for non-members.
