The Emlen Tunnell Statue Dedication Ceremony will be held on June 2, 2018 at 2PM at the Radnor Township Municipal Building, home of the Sports Legends of Delco (SLDC) Museum. Event is free and open to the public.
Join us as we unveil the 7-foot bronze statue of the late Emlen Tunnell, the first African-American football player to be inducted into the NFL Hall of Fame and native of Delaware County.
Created by sculptor Jennifer Frudakis, the statue commemorates Emlen’s athletic achievements and acts of heroism during WWII as a Coast Guard veteran.
