During this challenging time of utter turmoil in the world, we need something uplifting to make us smile. I’m excited to launch a monthly email, 10 Things That Brought Me Joy.

I’ll be sharing highlights of what I’ve been loving. Expect a mix of shows, movies, books, recipes, songs, food finds, must-have products, images, amusing posts, and more.

Enjoy!

1. @ilovefarideh

Farideh is known for her funny, relatable takes on being a mom.  Such a Good Dad, and this one about motherhood should make you smile.

2. Beckham on Netflix

I don’t watch “football,” but I’m Obsessed with this series! I barely knew anything about Beck and Posh, but after watching, I wanted more. It’s a four-part documentary series about one of the most famous footballers ever. The fashion alone from that time is worth the watch. And now I have a new crush. 😍

3. I Can Buy Myself Flowers

I’ve been loving this song for months. It makes me happy and reminds me that we’re in charge of our own happiness! 😉

4. A Good Read

My longtime BFF gave me this recco, and I loved it! The Extraordinary Life of Sam Hell is about seeing the world through different eyes. We all need that kind of vision now.

5. The Science of Strength Training

I listen to podcasts every day while walking my dogs. Mel Robbins is one of my favorites. This one has been super helpful. I know about lifting weights and how important it is for so many reasons. Apparently, I need to eat way more protein.

6. Está delicioso

I just visited Barcelona with my husband, and we took a paella cooking class. I promise it was NOT as touristy as it sounds. The teacher had worked for a few famous chefs and the Queen of England. She was fascinating and great at what she did! I learned so many tips, one about olive oil, and cold-pressed is the way to go. Never use blended. So, I just ordered this. Yum! And this paella pan we used. This is a vlog from Jake & Anna.

7. Amazon Fresh First Timer

A magical haul of groceries from Amazon Fresh in Broomall that I thought would be way more expensive than it was. They had things I usually find at Whole Foods. You pack your bag while you shop, then roll the cart into the stall and magically check out. Plus, if you’re a Prime member, you get an extra 20% off. I’m just not down yet with using my palm to pay. How is that a thing? 😬

8. Tailgate Time

Now that it’s football season, I’ve been making tailgate food, and my go-to cookbook is from local chef and author Tina Verrelli. Last Sunday, I made her Thai Chili Wings. Amazing! Another of our family football game favs is her Buffalo Chicken Meatballs. Check her recipes out here and buy her book! Great holiday gift!

9. Old School Streaming App

We watch streaming series periodically and have difficulty tracking what we’re watching. So I bought this, and it sits in our living room for all to see. It’s old school, and it works. My kids make fun of us, of course!

10. This week’s In The Loop by our long-time editor Kate!

Kate keeps you in the loop with the low down on what’s new and exciting in and around the main line.

Here are some more of my favorite things!

Enjoy!
