Hi Neighbor!

Where do you fall in the great Thanksgiving meal debate – Turkey or side dishes?  It’s the debate that keeps on giving each year!

I’m a sides girl for sure. I love cooking and baking for Thanksgiving. Just thinking about preparing (and eating) the stuffing, potatoes, veggie casseroles, and of course cranberry and pumpkin breads, has me counting down the days until Thanksgiving (6 days and counting).  For me, the turkey is an afterthought – a little piece goes on whatever small empty spot is left on my plate!

This year, to settle this age-old debate, Campbell’s® unveiled their State of the Sides’ report. This food-based consumer report was created from a nationwide survey that focused on holiday and seasonal dishes.  Spoiler alert – 66% of people surveyed nationwide prefer side dishes to turkey, half would be happy with just side dishes, and 73% (including me) of Americans complain about running out of space on their plates for the sides.  Another interesting tidbit that came from the survey – Pennsylvanians are the most passionate and happiest when only eating sides for Thanksgiving dinner!  The report also includes holiday trends, tips, recipes, and all you need to know about “Sides Season” 2022😊!

Now that it’s been confirmed that many of us enjoy our sides more than the turkey, the next burning question might be – what do our favorite sides say about our personalities? To find out, you can take this Thanksgiving Side Dish Personality Quiz. Whether it turns out to be fact or fiction, it will give you something light, easy and fun to talk about around your Thanksgiving table – just in case you need it😊.

This year when Thanksgiving Day arrives and I am counting my blessings, I will be including you, Neighbor!  I am so grateful to you for reading this as well as my other stories!  I wish you and your families a Happy, Healthy and Sides-Filled Thanksgiving!

Gratefully Yours,

Chris
