Pondering the Unexplainable... on the Main Line

Hi Neighbor!

There is nothing like knowing your computer is a tad old (5 years-ish), things are starting to act funny, weird little issues are popping up more often, and then up pops an issue that you know is probably not going away. Yet, you just don’t want to deal with a new computer.  So, you hold out.  You turn the computer on, say a little prayer and hope that the problem you witnessed was just a fluke.  You tell yourself you were just “seeing things”.  Sound familiar?

A new computer is a love/hate thing for me (and I imagine for many of you as well).  I just don’t want the trouble.  Although, there comes a time when you know it needs to happen.  My computer has been starting the dying process for a few months now, but more recently the screen has started flashing at me, image dissolving as I watch in horror, then popping back at me a few seconds later.  As I’ve watched this happen time and time again in the last few weeks, I’ve accepted that I either need to bite the proverbial bullet and get a new computer … or have one REALLY REALLY bad day! 🙂

So, I bit the bullet and purchased a new computer.  As I continue to type this on my old computer, screen still flashing – I wonder why the brand new computer I purchased is still sitting at my feet in its box.  Some things are just unexplainable.
