Hello Neighbor!

Well, 2020 is about to wrap up.  What can possibly be said to wrap up a year like the one we all just had?  Well, profanity is usually frowned upon at MainLine Neighbors, so… 😊

In all seriousness – What. A. Year.  It truly is hard to wrap your head around what we have all been through.  (And are still going through!)  Once this all ends and we begin to navigate back into a “more normal” existence, we will finally be able to take a deep breath and start to process all that was 2020.  And there is a LOT to process.  Whether it was the pandemic or politics… it was all-encompassing, all-demanding, and so incredibly sad and destructive.  How can we come out the other end with lessons learned and hopefully a softer version of ourselves?  That is the real question.

When things like this happen, (every 100 years or so), it certainly shows us life priorities.  Turns out, what is truly important in life can be counted on one hand.  The health, safety and wellbeing of the people we care about.  It really comes down to those few simple things.

We aren’t out of this mess yet.  We still need to hunker down and take care of one another for another few months at least.  Once we get into the spring, we will hopefully be starting to see some very bright light and maybe even start hugging our friends and family again.  (something I miss terribly!)

So, for now – let’s just say a grand farewell to 2020 – I don’t think there is a single person on the planet that is sad to see it go!
Bring on 2021!
