Hello Neighbor!

Fifteen years ago, when my husband and I married and moved into our home, we labeled a couple of boxes, “Beach House.”  We decided then not to give away all the extra pots, plates, and utensils, wishfully thinking that we’d save them for the post-Mega Millions jackpot win, so we could fill our second home.

Update: We don’t have a second home.

But my friend does! And a few ladies and I went last weekend for the Second Annual (Making this a thing!) Girls’ Getaway, a weekend of easy, comfortable fun: beach sitting, deck chatting, snack stuffing, and adult beverage sipping.

There’s a lot to like about girls’ weekends, but I find when I spend quality time with friends, I especially value all of the information I collect like seashells, a smorgasbord of new things to explore: a favorite vacuum, book recommendations, online stores for do-it-yourself wallpapering, a gimlet recipe.

After the weekend, we left joking that we needed a google doc because we couldn’t remember all that we shared the night before (too many gimlets?).  As an exercise in recall, I thought I’d share some of the highlights with you . . . before I head down to deep clean the basement.
