Farmers Market Mania

So let's have some fun! Who would like to play a little guessing game?  Anyone know what THIS (#1) is? How 'bout THIS (#2)? Want to take a shot at THIS (#3) one? Bet someone will know THIS (#4)!…

So let’s have some fun! Who would like to play a little guessing game?  Anyone know what THIS (#1) is? How ’bout THIS (#2)? Want to take a shot at THIS (#3) one? Bet someone will know THIS (#4)! And finally, THIS (#5) one? (this last one is NOT for the faint of heart!) Answers given below.

Well, now you know how I feel on a daily basis since my daughter came home from college for the summer.  Every day is a guessing game!  Some “guesses” are scarier than others, but every single day I find something.  On my counter, in my frig, on my deck, in her room…

My daughter is a health food fanatic.  And sometimes it is downright scary!  I’m not sure that these things I find  growing, fermenting, boiling, germinating and reproducing would be something GOOD for me or could actually KILL me if ingested!

Clearly, one does not have to be as crazy as my daughter to enjoy locally grown, fresh food!  If you are one of those people, then you are in luck! Check out our Farmers Market Mania section below. You don’t need to be a food scientist/nutritionist/pro gardener to enjoy all of the wonders of the earth. We have so many wonderful Farmers Markets in the area – doing all that hard work for us.  Visit them yourself and enjoy the bounty of local fruits, vegetables, dairy and more.  Already grown, picked and sprouted… just waiting for you to enjoy!

Always Guessing,
Laura

(Answers:  #1 fermenting sauerkraut, #2 almond milk in process, #3 sprouts, #4 potato propagation in process and #5 kombucha gone wild!)
