A few weeks ago my husband and I went to a party at Yards Brewing Company in Philadelphia. We took a tour and sampled a few different brews. I’m not a big beer drinker. I don’t know an Ale from a Pilsner. But I have to say, after learning more about the process and drinking a few very different samples, I am now a fan. Craft brewing is a big trend and there’s tons of brew pubs and breweries in Pennsylvania. Great way to shop local!

I started researching breweries and came across this very cool site brew trail website that lets you pick from a list of all of the breweries in PA, or any state, and create your own beer trail. I created a trail which is a distance of 201.2 miles and would take 5 hours and 17 minutes to drive. A little ambitious… and we will clearly need an Uber!

Appalachian Brewing – Collegeville
Boxcar Brewing – West Chester
D. G. Yuengling and Son 1 – Pottsville
GG Brewers – Glenside
Iron Hill Brewery – Phoenixville
Sly Fox Brewery – Pottstown
Tired Hands Brewing – Ardmore
Doylestown Brewing – Doylestown

Cheers!
