I am a contemporary realist oil painter and metalsmith/enamelist working with sterling silver, fine silver and gold metals and semi-precious stones.

I have an undergraduate degree from Towson State University in Studio Arts/Art History (1978) and a Master’s degree from the University of the Arts in Museum Studies (2004). I worked as an art conservation technician at the Philadelphia Museum of Art and volunteered at Winterthur/UDel Art Conservation program.

I have been painting since the age of 9 and have studied at Studio Incamminati in Philadelphia. I paint using the principles of Henry Hensche, a colorist with the Cape Cod School of Art. I am drawn to the impressionists and their interpretations of color and form.

I took several metals and jewelry classes while attending Towson State and fell in love with enameling. It is an ancient craft that is currently being revived in a contemporary way.  I love working with this medium and of creating small works of wearable art. I also work with sterling and fine silver, gold, and copper.
