  1. Please bury the lines. Huge poles and wires is outdated and ridiculous in this century. With so much snow and ice every winter, why still have lines outside! Even Europe has buried many of their lines.

  2. I’m with you Courtney, but are customers willing to foot the bill, and evaluate the downsides?

  3. I used to live in Wyoming which had far more wind and many more blizzards. We almost never lost power because our electrical wires were buried. Here it happens all the time. At some point, the wires are going to have to be buried so why not start the project now. Overhead wires are outdated, old technology. Replacing them with more overhead wires makes no sense in the 21st century.

  4. The same thing is happening along our street in Lower Merion, Gypsy Lane.
There are many other streets in this area that have mature trees marked for removal.
I think that if ore people knew they would be outraged.
How did you set up a town hall to reach your neighbors?

    • They were able to stop PECO from proceeding with their current plans for significant vegetation removal aka tree chopping! Lots of good info came from the meeting with several reps from PECO, Asplundh, the township, Board of Supervisors and Representative Milne’s office.

During the meeting the case was made that it’s unacceptable that the community is unclear on the criteria for the selection
