WPP Speaker Series - Ardrossan presented by author, David Wren

“Ardrossan: The Last Great Estate on the Philadelphia Main Line,” published by Bauer and Dean in 2017, was a twenty-year long labor of love for author David Nelson Wren.
The book is a richly detailed history of American country house splendor and the Montgomery family who created it. The 50-room Georgian revival house, designed by Horace Trumbauer in 1911 and decorated by White, Allom, once sat on 750-acres of expansive, lush hills in the middle of Radnor Township.
Wren is uniquely qualified to share stories of this legendary place, which inspired playwright Philip Barry to write “Holiday” and “The Philadelphia Story.”
A limited number of Wren’s book will be available for purchase after his lecture at The Willows, September 29th.
A wine and cheese reception will start at 5:00pm. A tour of the first floor of the Willows Mansion will be available at that time.
David’s presentation will begin at 6:00pm.
