Season Awakes on the Preserve: Kids Read and Explore

We’ll read the story Bring Me Some Apples and I’ll Make You a Pie: A Story About Edna Lewis by Robbin Gourley and celebrate the spring season. As Edna and her family gather seasonal fruits and vegetables, so do the animals that call Hildacy Preserve home.

Natural Lands is pleased to partner with Longwood Gardens’ tenth annual Community Read initiative with a look at how food connects people—especially for special moments—and how food connects to the world of plants and gardening.

Families with young children (ages 18 months to 5 years) are invited to attend these nature discovery events designed to inspire a sense of wonder about the natural world.
