Michael Bartmann's "Dimensions Discovered" exhibit is on display in the Fine Arts Gallery in the Ministries Center.
Bryn Mawr Presbyterian Church has opened a beautiful new art gallery in its recently-renovated Ministries Center, and the Church’s first exhibit features paintings of Michael Bartmann.
After a career as a landscape architect, Bartmann studied painting at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts in Center City Philadelphia. His work is largely inspired by the vacant industrial spaces of cities such as Camden and Philadelphia, and his paintings capture the beautiful and dynamic play of light, surface and space within these abandoned settings. Bartmann evokes emotion using spatial dimension, atmosphere and defining architecture.
