Former United States Financial Diplomat Michael Greenwald will discuss his journey in counterterrorism and intelligence roles in the US government traveling to over 20 countries in Africa, Europe, and the Middle East.
He will discuss how the United States crafted sanctions against Russia, which marked the first time Western debt and equity markets were employed against a sovereign power. He will discuss how the United States countered the financing of ISIS, Al-Qaeda, Hezbollah, Hamas, Iran, Ukraine/Russia, Syria, and North Korea. Lunch is included.
