Join Susanna W. Gold, PhD, and Barbara Bullock in a conversation about Bullock’s art and experiences at the Ile-Ife Black Humanitarian Center in North Philadelphia in the 1970s.
There, Bullock interacted with artists Charles Searles and Twins Seven-Seven and was the director of the art department from 1971 to 1975, building a strong community arts program. The conversation will include a discussion about the artists’ connections to Africa in the development of their artistic voices.
